BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON - Radiant Research Inc. today announced that the Company completed 2003 with record revenues of $73.5 million. "We successfully integrated the acquisition of Protocare Trials in 2003 and look forward to significant growth in 2004 as we expand our early phase clinical research capabilities," stated Michael Lester, chief executive officer of Radiant Research. "Sponsors are increasing activity in Phase I and IIA following several years of strong preclinical activity. Our biopharmaceutical customers are asking us for program development, data management, data analysis and reporting services for Phase I and IIA trials in addition to our already existing Phase I and IIA study conduct services. In addition to the traditional healthy normal studies, we are seeing sponsors moving earlier into intense special patient population studies, which is a real strength for us."

In addition to its 50+ full time dedicated Phase II-IV clinical research sites, Radiant Research also owns and operates 4 existing Phase I facilities that are being expanded both physically and therapeutically. Over the course of the next 18 months, Radiant will be adding 24-36 bed Phase I and IIA capabilities at 6 of its existing Phase II-IV clinical research sites. Ultimately, the Company plans to have 10 early phase units with approximately 300 beds, each having access to special patient populations.

Our early phase clinics are also trained and prepared to conduct normal healthy pharmacokinetic studies, interaction studies and efficacy studies."
