CHICAGO, IL. – April 09, 2008. – Radiant Development is pleased to announce the addition of Joan L. Drucker, MD, as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Drucker will provide medical consultation, regulatory and pharmacovigilance expertise as well as oversight for clinical studies managed by Radiant Development. 

Dr. Drucker possesses clinical, management and investigative experience in the area of infectious diseases, HIV, immunology, women’s health, dermatology, and general internal medicine. With nearly 30 years of experience, she has served as a Medical Director to several corporations. Prior to joining Radiant Development, she was the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Trials at Trimeris Inc. Dr. Drucker has also served as Director, US Medical Affairs-Antivirals for Glaxo Wellcome, and as a Consulting Assistant Professor of Medicine, Infectious Diseases at Duke University School of Medicine. She has published numerous papers and abstracts focused on infectious diseases.

Dr. Drucker was a post-doctoral fellow in infectious diseases at Duke University and completed her residency in internal medicine at Faulkner Hospital, Tufts University. She received her bachelor of arts from Harvard University and completed medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
