Kirkland, Wash. - Radiant Research Inc., a national clinical trials management company, announced today that it has acquired the Denver and Boca Raton
investigative sites of Novoquest Research, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Medical Laboratories Limited (TSE: CLC). The acquisition strengthens Radiant's
expertise in conducting clinical trials for conditions affecting the central nervous system (CNS). Together, the Denver and Boca Raton sites have experience conducting more
than 100 studies in a variety of areas including Alzheimer's disease, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and smoking cessation.
"I was particularly impressed with Radiant's centralized participant recruitment services and coordinator and investigator training programs," noted Leslie Moldauer, MD, medical
director of the Denver site. "Now I have access to the knowledge-base of a company with thousands of studies under its belt."
Radiant owns more investigative sites than any organization in the country, allowing them to facilitate the development of new drugs, medical devices, and to conduct clinical
trials more quickly and cost-effectively. With the addition of these experienced investigative sites to its network Radiant will be able to offer its biopharmaceutical clients
the ability to more quickly initiate qualified CNS sites.
"We had identified CNS as an area where we wanted to increase our depth of expertise, and the two Novoquest sites were the best fit," commented Mike Lester, Radiant's chief
executive officer and president. "We are honored to add to our team such experienced investigators as Drs. Eugene Du Boff and Leslie Moldauer in Denver, and Drs. Peter
Holland and Donna Holland in Boca Raton."
