KIRKLAND, WASHINGTON - Radiant Research Inc. today announced that Steven Gillis, Ph.D. has joined its board of directors. Dr. Gillis, is chairman and chief executive officer of Corixa, a biopharmacetuical company specializing in immunotherapeutics to prevent autoimmune disease, cancer and infectious disease. Dr. Gillis also co-founded Immunex, where he held multiple positions, including acting chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

"With his impressive credentials and leadership in building successful companies in the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Gillis will be an asset to Radiant Research and further reinforce the strength of our board," said Mike Lester, chairman and chief executive officer of Radiant Research. "We look forward to gaining the value of his strategic insight and guidance."

In addition, Dr. Gillis is a director of both Micrologix Biotech and Genesis Research and Development Corporation. He also serves on the scientific advisory board of Medarex.

Dr. Gillis graduated from Williams College and received his Ph.D. from Dartmouth College.
