Radiant Research Listed Among America's Fastest Growing Private Companies

Inc. Magazine Reveals Annual Top 500

Bellevue, Wash. Radiant Research Inc. is proud to announce their inclusion within the 22nd annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest growing private companies in the country. Radiant Research, the country's largest clinical trials management company, ranks #420 on the list. The Inc. 500 ranks privately held companies according to sales growth over the past five years. The Inc. 500 Special Issue will appear on newsstands October 14 and will be on display until January 2004.

The companies that made this list have thrived through continued stagnation in the economy, posting an average five-year sales growth of 1,312%. With aggregate revenue of $14.4 billion, Inc. 500 companies are a formidable market force. And while the United States shed 1.5 million jobs in 2002, Inc. 500 companies provided employment for 67,973 people.

"We are extremely appreciative of the recognition by Inc. Magazine," said Mike Lester, Radiant's president and chief executive officer. "We also want to thank each and every one of our 1,000 employees for all of their hard work and dedication in making Radiant Research the leading clinical trials management company in the country."

Human clinical trials represent two-thirds of the cost and over half of the time involved in bringing a drug to market. Lester credits Radiant's revenue growth to the company's ability to remain very focused on their core business: enrolling evaluable study subjects into clinical trials, delivering high quality data to support the safety and efficacy of the drug company's product, and ultimately, helping the drug company deliver their product to market faster.

"Over the last five years, we have also developed expertise in the acquisition and integration of clinical research sites," notes Lester. "With the most recent acquisition of Protocare, Inc., our clients may now go to one place to find more than 50 of the nation's most reliable clinical investigative sites operating under one set of standard operating procedures."

While appreciative of the recognition by Inc. Magazine, Lester adds future plans for Radiant Research include additional acquisitions as well as diversifying existing sites' therapeutic capabilities and expanding the company's Phase I capabilities.

"We remain dedicated to executing our mission: changing the nature of clinical studies," said Lester.
